I've got a 97 Dakota and mine went south at 40000 miles. Could not figure
it out, but had the same problem happen on my 97 LHS. Just assumed
batteries were crap from the get go. Went and got a Duralast battery from
auto zone (3 year free replacement and then 5 fear prorate after that).
