You are correct...the engine doesn't warm up any slower with a 180 degree
vs. a 195 degree...until it hits the 180 mark.

The stat should be closed tight (any temp stat.)
when you first start the vehicle, so shouldn't they warm at the same rate?

only difference is at peak operating temp., no?
