I really don't think the cam placement has anything to do with horsepower
and torque curves. Let's say everything else on the engine is equal,
including displacement, intake, exhaust, etc. and the cam profiles are
exactly equal - they should both have the same hp and torque curves, with
the only difference being that the OHC engine can rev a little higher (thus
maybe making more power at the top, depending on cam profile).
If the 4.7 doesn't have the low-end power of the 5.2, it is because the cam
profile or the intake or something else has changed, not because of the
location of the cam.
