<< This is a great site. I've already found a ton of useful information. I
own a 92 4x4 dakota with the 318. Modifications so far are k&n
filtercharger, msd wires underdrive pullies(found at summit for under
$50.00),rancho shocks, bug deflector. I want to add a ported TB and an
msd 6A. But there is not much room under the hood for the msd box I was
wondering where is the best place to locate it? Thanks for any info

Welcome, I too have a 92 4x4 318, but I must sell it for my 00 Dak that I
wish had a 318 instead of the 4.7.
I had a Jacobs mounted right behind my battery then mounted the coil on the
inside wheel well on the pass. side(right under the computer.
I took it off because the computer readjusted voltage output and everything
was like stock. This was with the Mopar Performance Computer.
MP computer adjusts ignition voltage so the out put is higher than stock.
If you dont have the computer, GET IT. It did more for performance than any
other bolt-on. Get the MP computer before you do the MSD you wont regret it!
Also, consider JBA headers and a high flow muffler, i run a Magnaflow 3" in
2.5 dual out. This combo gives you more uppper end in second gear (under
fast acceleration).
Have fun!
