Shaun, I bought my Dakota to work in also. Too, I like the comfort it
provides on the long hauls, and most definitely the style!
I was disappointed when Chrysler dropped the old slant 6 - cast iron, low
rpm, it was hard to wear out those engines! Hell, I was brought up on John
Deere 2 bangers - 326 cubic inches, 1100 rpm and nothing but torque on only
2 horizontal cylinders!

But I digress, my next Dak will have whatever engine they are putting in
them. I'll miss the 318, it's been around since when - the late 50's? I'll
miss the slant 6 and those ole "Johnny Poppers" and when my new Dak wears
out I'll probably miss my youth too!
