OK! I realize this is a Dak list and I should not pick on people but --- My Vett (stock) will do 12.3 and top off at around 180mph (I personally have seen 155). There is not a Jap wagon in the world that can pull that off, expecially doing 85-95mph on a clover on/off-ramp. Vipers kick ass but not like a Vette and that big GOOFY gas cap on the viper has to go -- go way far away.

At the risk of sounding like a rice boy, I have to say that the wheelie bar
is used to limit the front-rear transfer of weight during hard accel. They
went through several sets of bars before they got it right. I subscribe to
Sport Compact Car and remember reading an article about it. Like it or not,
these guys are as serious about performance as anybody else. More serious
if you look at the cost for parts compared to American iron hot-rods. I
just wish they'd get tired of all the body-kits and clear lenses. Of
course, that's just a taste issue.

BTW, I came to the Dakota by way of a wrecked Nissan 240sx. I'm waiting for
my insurance to go back down before I get back to the imports. Kinda
looking at the 4door Integras now. I like the stealth-type look for my
performance vehicles. Not that I wouldn't drive the wheels off a Viper if
somebody gave me one. :)
