The engine will definitely be FI, prices, don't know yet. The price needs to
be kept reasonable and repeatable. The problem is that you can load these
engines with high $$$$ items that don't necessarily add HP. Aftermarket
rods, $500.00, Roller rockers $375.00, top notch injectors $400.00, and so
on. Right now we are trying to come up with the most cost effective head
mods. and still have durability. We are still in the process of prototyping.
We have found a cost effective solution on valves (actually cheaper than OE
but more durable). Head castings are new because we can get new for $70.00
each. It only makes more sense to use new because if guides need to be
replaced, then you can easily exceed the cost of a new casting. The pistons
are going to be less than half the cost of a custom set of forged pistons
and a heck of lot more streatable. The cam will be custom matched to the
valves, porting and flow. Intake will be the M-1 (actually MPI). TB will
definitely be the factory 2 BBL. The 4 BBL TB just isn't durable enough. We
will know more in the next couple of weeks.........
