Yep. That's what I'm waiting for. The problem is (and has been) that DC
changed the spline count from 27 to 29 on the chryco corporate 8.25 axle in
1997. Powertrax (who makes the lock-rite) was supposed have an updated locker
out in June '99 but I haven't seen it yet.

if you have a open axle can you use a lok rite? . I know there is a company
that makes a locker that takes the place of the spider gears in the
differential. Im not sure if they make it for dodge but they should since all
it does it replaces the spider gears and you keep the stock diff. i used it in
my 2 wheel drive 1/2 ton chevy with 35s and it was wery reliable since it kept
everything basically stock except the spider gears of course.
