Today at Cecil We finally got to do some playing with the chips. It wasn't
on my truck because of a persisting problem with my Trans. The test was
performed on a 99 RT with slicks so there was no real slippage. The first
run was with the Jet and it was a 14.7, the second run on the Hypertech was
a 14.6(alltime best for that truck) the remainder was without any chip and
again it was 14.7. I have to get copies of all the slips to give all the
specifics but it appears (at least in the 1/4) the only difference was the
Hypertech coming in at a tenth.
Those were the facts of the test but I do also have an opinion on the
hypertech and JET
I had a chance to drive around a little (philly to MD and back) switching
between chips and stock and there is a definite fun factor to the Hypertech
that I don't get with the JET. with the Hypertech I gained back some of the
low end grunt I lost when I switched to my current exhaust setup. spinning
tires from a 25 mph roll is what I call fun and the only way I could do it
was with the Hypertech.(same road and direction all within 10 minutes)
Hope this helps anyone in the market
