Donny, It's all good, I average 16 mpg with a high of 19 so far 2200 miles!
Power!!, first 1/4 mile pass was 15.13 stock, then I added a little home
made K&N open element system this weekend and went back to the track, I
turned a personal best 14.900 @ 92.78 mph this is with a 5 spd. and 3.92
posi ,RC.
Horsepower stock is 235, and torque is 295. I have a good article on the
4.7L engine if you are interested email me privately. I have nothing bad to
say about the 4.7L, I don't know anything about the auto trans., 5 spd. is
the way to go for all out performance and lots of fun!!

Subject: DML: 4.7 engine questions....

Hi all.
Well, I guess I'm going to be giving up my RT in the
next few weeks and I'm trying to find out some "real
world" info on the new 4.7 engine and multispeed
auto...

If you have one of these please answer a few questions
for me:

Gas mileage? Better, same, worse?

Power? I know its a drop in HP and torque, but is it a
dog or anything?

New trans? Any known problems yet? Does it shift any
better than the current slush box (Chrysler needs to
study GMs 4L60E!)

etc? Any other things you've noticed good or bad about
it?

Thanks in advance...
