Everything that I have read about the 4.7L, lists the horsepower at
235.(magazines, CarPoint, Kelly Blue Book, even the Dodge catalog)
Everything, that is, except the window sticker on my truck. This first
came up, when I was test driving it, before I bought it. The first time
the salesman said it had the same horsepower as the 5.2L, I just assumed
he was mistaken. He said it again later, so I corrected him. He said,
"No, look at the sticker." Sure enough, it says 230HP at 4800 RPM. Has
anyone else noticed this? I live in Oregon, and as far as I know, we
don't have any special emissions stuff that would lower horsepower. I
know there are getting to be a few of us with this engine, so if you
still have your window sticker, check it out and please respond. TIA
