running cooler isn't bad for the motor unless you go down to a 160 stat.
Somewhere around 170 you run into 2 problems. ( this is hear-say so if I'm
wrong please correct me)
A the oil is too thick to flow properly
B the piston rings don't seat right causing abnormal wear to the cylinder
walls
