Looks more cost effective to run the '96 SBEC inside the '97s as long as you
have an aft. market tach., atleast... the whole gauge run down would have to
be an essential thing, as you'd want everything to work on a brand new truck
( wouldn't you ? ) :-). So.. I guess you'd need to weigh the price diff...
upgrade the exsisting '97 PCM ($500 custom) or, add a '96 SBEC (Mid $200s?))
and go from there.. $300 does go along way.

This should probably be for the electrical guys who just seem to love this
kinda stuff.
