I've run my 180 stat through the winter with no problems, I live in PA and
it gets below 0 at times. What is you're guage telling you? You may have a
stat that's sticking open or a bad sender. but most importantly it's a
matter of what your truck thinks is happening. If you're truck thinks that
it's not warming up It'll run open loop causing real poor gas milage and
high emissions.
