I was just reading through the latest MPN, and came across a
couple of interesting things in an article about the short
blocks, that I thought I'd share.
The first is that it mentions that the motor mounts on the
engines are 360 style. The Magnum engines "have some added features
for Dakota mounts that the pre-Magnum does not". What those features
are, it doesn't say, but this does confirm that they will indeed bolt
into a Dak.
The second intersting thing was this: "MPP also has many different
aluminum heads, from aluminum Magnums and aluminum Commandos to
W5s and W9s, that offer many more advantages in power." ???? This is
the first I've ever heard of an aluminum head for the Magnum! I don't
recall seeing it in the catalog, so either they're under development,
or they're new. I'm afraid to ask what the price is gonna be though!
