Well, It was a shame Jim and Sam didn't make it out to LACR tonight. It was
a lot of fun. I managed to get in 4 runs and left before Ed and Rob. There
was a pro-street Dakota running 12.5. He had a 360 in a std. cab, all motor.
Not too many trucks there, mostly imports and classic cars. What is the
formula to calculate the difference elevation plays with e.ts? We estimated
LACR to be around 3000 feet above sea level. I couldn't break 17, nor could
Rob who has a 4.7 4x4. He got awfully close before I left, think it was a
17.2. Did you manage any better Rob? Well here is the lowdown on my truck:
Best Reaction: .021 ----->My first run. . . woo hoo
Best 60ft: 2.494
Best 1/4 E.T.: 17.415
Best mph : 78.644
I ran my the first three runs without the tonneau or tailgate. My last run I
added the tailgate. Not much different. I was hoping for better, especially
since I ran a 16.9 last time at Carlsbad. Oh well, time to get some headers!
