A friend on mine has an 85 Monte Carlo SS with twin 15 inch subs in the
trunk. Which has no relation to this post. But we did a TON of work to
kill the vibration coming off the back of the thing. Ask me and I'll
talk about it..
My guess is the vibration is in two or three places. The biggest one
being where your cap meets the bed. Perhaps you could line the
underside of the cap (where is meets the bed) with something that will
dampen the vibration. Also I'm betting the tailgate and hatch are doing
their share of vibration. opening them should shut em up tho. (meaning
I have no idea how to shut em up)
