First of all, please reply off the list to mcc@negia.net. Thanks!
I have a '69 Volkswagen and the engine has locked up. It's locked up
really, really good. I put a breaker bar on it and jumped on it several
times and it never moved. :) The engine was running fine when the car
was parked several years ago. Some have suggested pouring Oil, ATF, and
or WD40 down the carb and plug holes. Will that really free up the
motor? Does anyone have any other suggestions besides a rebuild. I'm
planning on rebuilding in the coming months, but I'd like to just get it
freed up now.
Thanks,
Chad Clifton
Dak Content: If this engine can't be freed, I guess I'll be using the
Dak to haul the parts for the rebuild now instead of later.
