Actually it really isnt. It works great on the street as long as youre not
trying to push big tires ( 35s and up). if youre running 33 or stock size
tires they work great. they just dont like really big tires. ive used them in
a 2 wheel drive GMC and a few s 10s. they work great on the street. The
difference is you dot need to add the additive you have to add with a LSD but
i add it because of the anti foaming properties. it works great for the
street and drags. think if it as a LSD with a little extra. The LSD will bias
when you get to a high wheel speed ( ie long burnout) a Locker ( powertrax)
will spin both tires as fast as the differential is spinning and not any
slower.A LSD will spin both tires but in some cases it will spin only one
tire or will spin 1 tire slower than the differential is spinning

Basically a locker will ALWAYS spin both tires as fast as the ring gear or
differetial is spinning. ( of course there are instances when a locker will
disenage when it goes around a corner (the inside itre and outside tire are
spinning in 2 differnt wheel speeds.) but when locked it will spin both tires
no slower than the ring gear/differential.
A LSD will spin both tires also but in some cases it will spin only one.(
tire in the air and tire on ground) also a LSD will never spin both tires at
the same speed as the differential/ring gear. it will always spin 1 tire
slower than the other
