Hmmmmmmm, mine popped off :) I have a 98, but should do the same on the
97's, all ya gotta do is have a tight grip on the top of the dash ledge and
just under near the controls and another hand on the other side of the
steering wheel the same way and slightly pull, careful to not pull the dash
off too much or those little plastic snaps will eventually weaken and break
off.

I have a reg cab so don't have any suggestions about where to put the
changer for easy access.

(damn did I sound like I know what I'm talking about? - if not don't answer,
I don't need any wisecracks!)

('97 Xcab V6.)

Does anyone have an easy way to get the dash cover off so that I can get at
removing the factory deck? I haven't look too far into it just yet but i'd
like this to go flawlessly, if that's possible.

I'm installing a Kenwood tape deck with a 10 pack changer i had sitting
around. Anyone have any suggestions as to where i could put this changer? I
was thinking of mounting it under the back seat in the xcab and removing the
cover for the storage campartment. The seats don't look like the changer
would be very accessible if i put them there, i'm open to ideas.
