Hey.

I have a 4.7 RC Sport+ with an auto and i've had her up to 100 mph several
times. I had it up to 110 one time and i experienced a similar drop off in
revs. It wound up all the way to 4500 rpm and then dropped down to 2000.
But there was no hesitation or loss in acceleration... My dad's s-10 will
cut out at 95-97, but you really feel the loss in power. Maybe it's just
the difference between a 4 banger that is struggling at that speed and my V8
that humms along at 2 grand @ 110 mph... but it definitely did not feel like
any cutoff i have experienced before. Does this new transmission have some
kind of lockup torque converter or some other weird gear in the slushbox of
which i have no understanding? I have been able to find very few details
about this new auto... other than it's called a "Multi-speed Transmission"
and it has a couple different kickdown gears or whatever. I don't know.
