without a doubt this is a true statement in my mind. i've seen to many
accidents that were caused due to some one trying to merge into fast traffic
in a vehicle that takes longer to get up to highway speeds than there is on
ramp distance. personally i'm going as fast or faster than traffic when i
need to merge. people tend to clear a hole for you when they realize that
the flashing signal light isn't an indication of intention but a solid fact
of reality that is not going to slow down or back off.
