Dester, I don't know how you would break the terminal unless you were
overtightening them. To prevent corrosion I have used some felt type of
washers they sell at K-Mart. One is red, one is green - you put them over
the posts and then put the terminals on. I've used them successfully for
several years now, and they only cost a buck or so the last time I got some.
