What kind of gas mileage would the interested folks here expect from the following DAK:
97 4X4
5.2 L engine
40k miles
MP cold air intake K&N filter
MP headers
MP Cat Back Exhaust
Going down the hiway at 70 mph?
Going around a suburban area at 50 mph?
Mix of stop and go and hiway?
Before the above, I got 17.5. After the above mods (and a used PCM for a bad PCM and new
upstream and downstream O2 sensors) I get 11-12 on the hiway. 11-12 in mix. 11-12
in town.
The dealer who sold me the truck and performed the mods is very conscientious, but wonders
if the mods caused the problem....especially to little back pressure. Is there anyway to
check for to little back pressure and are there any checks you all would recommend for the
engine? Any suggetions as to how to get the mileage back up????
