They're interconnected. Don't turn the distributor...it doesn't work that
way anymore. I haven't checked into this in depth, but I think the Magnum
engines also use a crank position sensor...not sure though. Anyone??

Ok, who can explain how the computer controls the timing?? The way I see it,
the coil gets power and doesn't fire until the rotor passes on distributor
cap contact. I don't see any type of vacuum or electronic soleniod advance
on
it, so I am confused. I know I can push more timing on this engine without
pinging, and I'm trying to find a way to do it, without sending the computer
back to superchips.
