Nope, they keep all 4 tires under power.
They have what are called "anti-lift kits" so that the car remains pretty
level under acceleration, keeping all 4 wheels planted.
A lot of the time the owner has already upgraded his suspension so that the
struts/springs are really stiff anyway, so the kits don't even have much
work to do.
I was the one that satrted this thread, and it was directed at 4x4 Daks, not
AWD cars. It's a completely different setup between a 4x4 and an AWD
system.
And i still want to see somebody with a 5speed 4x4 run the quarter with 4x4
engaged. :)
