With what you're describing, I would go with a 4 channel to boost the
factory speakers (if you think they'll sound better with more juice).. I
like subs and everything, but since you can't turn your head unit up a lot,
all you're gonna get is bass really if you just add a sub and 2 channel amp.
just a fyi. I'm running a Kenwood head unit with the factory Infinity
speakers (I think they sound pretty good, even when cranking them up). Then
I'm running a crossover to a Kenwood Amp & 2 Kenwood 12's (soon to be 2 JL
12" subs). There's some room for improvement in the mid/high range, but I
gotta break down and get a 4 channel amp to do that. An EQ might also help
on that too if you get a 4 channel Amp. Helps pull out the freq's that are
bothersome and push the ones you like :-)
