Soft Tonneau security?

Hey all-

Question #2 - I'm looking for opinions on how much security you think
a soft tonneau provides. Has anyone had stuff stolen from inside your
soft tonneau covered bed?

I chose my Sportmasters Hinged Slantside Soft Tonneau (I love it) for
the sheer convenience of it, and i rarely keep anything of value under
it. Obviously anyone who wants in it can easily get in it, but some
claim "out of sight, out of mind", meaning not seeing your valuables
will keep the honest people honest. A hard tonneau provides more
protection obviously (but I didn't want one), but if people want your
stuff, they will take it. Someone busted in my window a couple of
months ago because they wanted my stereo. That took more work than
unsnapping a couple of buttons.

My question is- how often have you all had stuff stolen from under
your soft tonneau (or hard tonneau, for that matter)? Do people people
leave it alone because they can't see what's under there, or is theft a
problem?
