Campershells - Snugtop

Saturday, I took delivery of my Snugtop campershell. Later Saturday I
found that one of the windows leaked, upon closer inspection I found that
the seal was not pulled close to the shell. Today (Monday) I took the
shell back to the dealership, Mid-America Truck Tops in Eureka, MO, and
talked to the owner about the leak and SEVERAL more minor things I
noticed when I started really inspecting the shell. He was not rude, but
he basically said I was being too picky after all it was just a
campershell. And my point was for $1,2XX I thought the shell should be
perfect. In short he blamed most of the items, except the damage they
did during insulation, on the manufacturer. He also tightened down the
window seal. It is much better, but not perfect. I will be sending a
letter to Snugtop to see what they say about the lack of quality control.
The distributor said that campershells are not manufactured to be well
finished products.
Have others with campershell found this to be a true statement?
Anyone else have a Snugtop, Hi-Liner? Any problems?
BTW if you want good customer service avoid Mid-America Truck Tops.
