To make it as easy (and non-technical)...look at it this way:Take a simple bicycle pump and stick your finger over tip of the nozzle.
The only strain I see a blower putting on the valve train is the fact that its going to spin up faster. The valves are closed when the piston has to compress the extra charge put in there by the blower..I can see a stronger bottom end being a plus..
My question was how much more HP will 9#'s boost make over 6#'s. 5% more, 15% more ???
