The spray can paints at hobbyist shops are excellent quality. Just follow
"proper" painting techniques and be sure to clearcoat the paint when you're
done. It will have a mirror-like showroon finish.

For models, I'm not sure as I haven't tried any for a very long time. I'm
sure
that "chrome" paint for automobiles is pretty good, though.

I have yet to find individual pieces/parts in hobby stores. You might be
able to find what you need online. If you're looking for real tires, try
someplace that sells tires for radio controlled cars/trucks. I know there is
a lot offered for that hobby and adaption to your model shouldn't be that
hard.
