Yes Dodge has a weakness in their trannys, but on the older autos (pre
4.7's) I think if you change the fluid every 5k miles or there abouts, you
will be fine... Our tranny lasted 100k miles on our 94 4x4 318, and we
pulled dumpsters, went 4 wheeling, towed everything possable... and never
changed the fluid untill it was too late... now I change the fluid in my
97 every 5-8k miles.... just to be on the safe side....
