I had the same problem on my cuda. I found out that if you slit an old boot
lengthwise on one side, you can slip it arond the wire right atthe header
(on the cuda, it actualy touched the headers) and it'll last a long time. It
chars it for awile, but never got thru the boots to nuke the wires.
