Yeah, the Malfunction Indicator Lamp should illuminate but it looks like the
DRB Scan tool might be required to read the Diagnostic Trouble Code that was
set. (This is from the 2K FSM and earlier year models may be different.)
I did, however, run out to the truck and tried the on-off-on-off-on ignition
key sequence within a 3 second window and noticed that the odometer said "P
done" and since all the trouble codes listed start with the letter "P" I'm
guessing that the odometer will display the trouble code too. My truck is a
2K QC Sport 5.9L.
