Mike,
I bent several pushrods, but not to severly. I lost the smoothness of the
engine. It idled very rough, highway crusing was like cylinders missing,
and a definite loss of power noticed when accelerating. If I would have
rev'ed any higher or for a longer period of time, I'm sure I would have
broken or started to break various internal components. I got off easy. I
could still drive afterwards.

Which has me curious.... How do you know when you have a bent rod?
Does the bent rod take out other components? Does it just run bad?
Does it run at all?

--No I don't suspect this on my Dak, just curious--
