Well, I didn't have to go to Canada afterall, so I ran around in the truck
last night testing the Super eRam out. The eRam really does perform well
after 2500 rpm's. The truck pulls like a strong V6 now. It always felt ok
before (for a CC 4X4 V6 Auto), but now it just feels better. I'm not sure
it's really any faster, but I do like the way that it feels stronger.
Bernd, the reason I asked you the question about the eRam vs the Jet 2 was
because I was trying to decide which one I was going to purchase. I only
have 250.00 to spend on truck stuff right now, so I was trying to decide
between the eRam, Jet 2 chip, or the "Sneaky Pete" Nitrous kit from Jegs.
They are all within my budget, but which one was the best??? Here are my
ideas on each....
Super eRam: Pros - great price, good for top end, unique item, people
saying "a what??"
Cons - no low end, minimal boost, people saying " a
what???"
Jet 2 : Pros - same price, good low end, good all around upgrade
Cons - no experience with it " is it worth 200.00?",
heard it fails often.
Nitrous: Pros - Best bang for the buck, n'uff said
Cons - NEVER used it before, EXPENSIVE to refill, how
often would I really use it.
So let me know what you think. My wife told me that basically, if I
purchase one of the above, she'll buy one of the other's for my birthday in
October. Of course, I could buy a new cat-back exhaust (Dyno-max
189.00)....AARRGGHH THERE ARE TOO MANY THINGS OUT THERE TO BUY!!!!!
