With some simple tools and a little mechanical know how you could do it
yourself. The bottom of the barrel unit is a Trac Lock for about $170 from
Randy's ring and pinion. A stronger still very streetable upgrade from that
is an Auburn Limited slip, about $360. Any good mechanic should be able to
install if for you. Your 8.25 doesn't have a removable 3rd member, you just
replace the carrier.
