I may be coming in late with this post, but I will let it fly anyway. I was
thinking about having an exhaust shop bend some 3" pipe for me, but there is
no one in the area that can do mandrel bends on pipe as big as 3". What I
did do is have the shop order in 45 & 90 degree mandrel bent elbows to see
if they would fit from the air hat to the cone filter. I took the 45 home
and it didn't quite work, I was going to pick up the 90 when the post came
over the DML for the Z tube for cheap $$. Well that failed, but back to
the shop. The pieces were around $22 a piece. I contacted Jet-Hot about
coating the pipe. The guy quoted me around $15 per foot and it will take 2-3
days to do. Not bad I thought, still may do it. If you are interested in
Jet-Hot, give them a call and they will answer all of your questions and
send you some literature and a video about their products.
