I mounted mine on the back of the center console in my '98 and it works for
me... I tend to leave it on one station and the squelch is easy enough to reach
even though it's behind me a bit. Wiring was easy enough as I just went to the
fuse box inside the cab. Really the biggest decision on wiring is if you want
it always hot or not. I didn't so you have to have the key in the on position
of run the CB. Can't help with the antenna as I went with a hood mount
(opposite the radio antenna) system.

I just got a CB from a friend, and I am totally confused on where to
mount it. It's 4.5 in. wide, and 6.5 in. deep, and I can't find a place
to mount it. I have a Gen II, with a bench seat, and am hoping to get
some buckets with a console. Maybe I could mount it in the console, but
for the time being, I need somewhere to put it. Also, where do I wire it
to, and how do I get the antenna wired to the roof. TIA.
