Just replace it. Keep the old one in case it doesn't solve the problem. But
for the $3.50 does it really matter? To check for a blocked heater core, you
can backflush through the heater hose. As for the Orange fluid, there are 2
types out, the old green, and the newer orange. Both work. There was
discussion a month or so back about mixing, which was better, etc. Check
the archives. I think the consensus was to not mix.
