My 89 has two fluid lines (supply and return) that run from the trans to the radiator. Its
even illustrated in the Haynes manual. It seems that its pretty much standard on the
transmissions. (i cant verify that because I dont know about the setups for the other
transmissions used on the dakotas over the years) But my thinking would be that its only
logical to have even a basic fluid cooler as part of the trans. When I said "add an oil
cooler" in my pervious post - I meant an aux. cooler.
