you can put a cam that's a little hotter than the R/T grind in and not have
to replace the springs an such. Still, example: I paid $600 for a crower rr
set with pushrods and guideplates, plus another 100 for the valve covers.
We're at 700.
Crane 2030 is under 300, springs are under 100, retainers are around 50.
install yourself and you save 200 beans and have more power to show for it.
Hell, you could put the double roller in and still come in under the cost of
the rr's. Just not worth it for barely noticeable horsepower. And, if you go
to a hot cam later, you can't use 1.7's becuase it's way too much lift.
waste of money if you ask me
