1: If I change the cam I would still put roller rockers in and the crower
units look good because of the guide plate pushrod set.
The truck has 30,000 on it I don't want to pull the heads yet it is quick
and quiet now and I don't want a big cam I like the low end and don't want
to lose it any cam change would be small 2:to those who
have them, Gibson headers are they loud like long tube headers or are they
just a bit loader than the stock manifolds.
>>
>>>you can put a cam that's a little hotter than the R/T grind in and not
have
to replace the springs an such. Still, example: I paid $600 for a crower rr
set with pushrods and guideplates, plus another 100 for the valve covers.
We're at 700.
Crane 2030 is under 300, springs are under 100, retainers are around 50.
install yourself and you save 200 beans and have more power to show for it.
Hell, you could put the double roller in and still come in under the cost of
the rr's. Just not worth it for barely noticeable horsepower. And, if you go
to a hot cam later, you can't use 1.7's becuase it's way too much lift.
waste of money if you ask me<<

I am thinking about installing Crower Rollerized Rocker Arms 1.7:1,and
Gibson stainless headers and was looking for input on these products. The
truck has under drive pulleys , K&N intake ,custom cat back,MSD blaster, Jet
chip,MPI TB (he does great work),8.8 wires,& a trac-lock that is still on
the bench.
