Frank, most economy or cheap headers do not come with a matching
crossover and are made to fit the factory crossover. Let's say you have
a 98 318 V8 with 1 7/8" manifolds and you buy cheapy headers that fit
your 1 7/8 crossover, - What Have You Gained? The 2 1/8" Manifolds will
flow better. Remember - Your exhaust is only as big as it's smallest
opening. DW
