Wow, sounds like a pretty good load on the truck.Did the headers help any on
the low end, or just the higher rpm's?? Do you have a tranny cooler on? It
seems like that 2nd gear@4000 would be a good way to heat unp the tranny
fluid real quick.Glad to hear it does well for you, though.Thanks for the

I have the 318, auto, 3.55 LSD. I tow a tandem axle trailer with four quads
on it, plus gas, firewood, and all the other crap we throw on it to take to
the desert. Total weight is about 3500 pounds. Occasionly have to throw a
5th quad in the bed of the truck. Truck pulls pretty good, but 2nd gear is
used alot going through the mountains. Although with the headers, I can
pull just about any hill in 2nd gear doing 60mph@4000rpm.
