When I first got my '01 4.7L RC 2X4 5speed 3.92, my first trip I got 19.2
MPG with about 800 miles on the odometer (that was to the drap strip).
Switched to 5W30 Mobil 1 with 6k miles on the odometer about a month ago. I
just got back from a cross state trip and averaged 21.3 MPG. I don't drive
like grandpa, but I try to keep it within 10 mph of the limit and I've been
know to agreevate a Mustang or 2 (did have it up to around 90 doing that on
this trip).

I also would like to know what weight of synthetics 4.7L owners are using in
their trannys and diffs..
