Even if everyone switched to synthetic our supplies of crude would dry up.
We would also need to stop burning gasoline but I don't see that happening
any time soon (is Dodge planning an electric version of the Dak anytime
soon?). The fact is that the world is using fossil fuels (not just in cars,
but also to generate electricity, run industry, fly planes, heat homes, etc)
at a much faster rate than we are finding new sources of crude. We WILL run
out, and some of us will be around to see it.
