Kyle, Have you thought about just getting a stock CD head unit out of a
newer Dodge? I mean, I ordered my truck with the RBR(CDonly) stereo, and I
think it's a great system! My head unit has a neat fader control, adjustable
equalizer, and a rotary volume knob.I wouldn't think about getting an
aftermarket head until this one dies! Might consider one, heck you could
even get one with the cd and tape players in it(RBZ, I think). Oh, and it
doesn't have to be from a Dodge truck. It could be a square-chassis head
from any chrysler product! Theres got to be some descent head units in some
of the uplevel products, huh? It would also look factory in your dash, with
the clock/display being the same color and stuff. Just a thought! Probably
would also be much cheaper than replacing that Pioneer head! HTH,

Will,
Thanks for the info. This unfortunate that Pioneer CD decks are known to
fail. I guess though when I buy a new CD player at Besy Buy/Cicuit City the
extended 3 year warranty will be well worth it. I already blew out 4 Pioneer
speakers(both fronts and rear) in my 'non-amplified' truck, and they only
lasted 1 1/2 years. Now I am running Polks all the way around and love them.
I wish I had more 1.5 din options, but I just like how the 1.5 din decks
looks. Oh well. Thanks again for the input.
Kyle
