Any benefits to removing the stock airbox cover after dropping in a K&N
filter, or will the PCM present my with some nice MILs?
I'm waiting on K&Ns GEN II intake for my 2001, so till then, don't want to
pay anymore than the price of a drop in filter in regards to intake mods.
BTW, I've read were folks remove a piece of plastic or rubber from the
front or fender area, and I believe this is from somewhere in the engine
bay...where is this piece and is it for better air flow?
This wouldn't be the snorkle coming off the airbox and pointing to that
hole in the fender well, would it. No air flow benefits from removing this
piece, right?
Thanks.
