My exhast is a 2.5" pipe with a 2 chamber flowmaster with a turndown, i also
gutted the cat, I've thought about trying to run it with the V6 TB, i'll
prob try that next time, and i am shifting it manually, it is in 3rd for a
very little while, then i cross the line, i still think it should have run
faster even though it was very hot and humid, i dunno though, any thoughts
about whether i should run 3.9 or 4.11?

If i remember right, we've compared trucks and times before...

I went back to the track for the 2nd time last friday to get my kickdown
cable set right. My first time at the track it wouldn't shift outta 2nd
under WOT and i ran a best of 16.84. This time once I got the cable set
right I ran 16.73 on a warm engine. So if it was cool and I actually did
everything right it could have made the 16.6Xs.

The first thing, is what are the sizes of your exhaust. My exhuast is
fairly aggressive (large) for the 3.9 and I've lost a good amount of low
end torque. But once above 3000 rpm it pulls pretty good.

2nd thing, Do you still have your v6 tb around. If so try some runs with
it since it's easy to swap. I've heard differing opinions about how big
you can go. Chris Hannon here in KC is building a 360 for his dak so he
just put the 360 tb on his 3.9 for now. He ran a best of 16.6 so it didn't
seem to hurt him any.

3rd, how are you shifting? Manually 1->2, 2->D. When you shift into drive
what gear is it going into? In the course of my playing around with my tb
cable, i got it to go into 3rd, but it was trying to shift into OD also
until I get the cable set just right. Lock OD out.
